Children IN WORSHIP
Children are a special part of church community. We love to have children here and want Kindergarten ages and up to remain in our worship services. This helps teach them about worship. To assist the K-5th grade ages in worship there are tote bags available at the back of the sanctuary for their use. These totes have quiet activities for them and a stuffed animal that lives at church for them to care for during the service. Each tote has Bible based lessons (there is a parents’ insert for details).
CHILDREN'S MESSAGE: Children hear a special message from the pastor during the morning worship services most Sundays.

Christ UMC offers Sunday School classes for all ages from 10:45-11:45 a.m. every Sunday. The nursery offers a place to read and play for our babies and toddlers. Kindergarten and first graders receive an introduction to Bible Stories, and upper elementary age students participate in a more focused Bible study. Middle and High School students participate in Youth United Sunday School.
Sunday school classes follow a quarterly curriculum by Cokesbury. Each curriculum is a Bible study for Sunday school that enables children to experience God through Jesus Christ. Children and the teachers will experience together, in a Christian community, the stories and messages of the Bible appropriate to the children's increasing maturity through lessons that provide opportunities for discussion and ideas for activities.
Christ UMC hosts a VBS week each summer for our entire community. Click here for more info on VBS.
