What is UMYF?
United Methodist Youth Fellowship is where youth, ages 12-18, or middle through high school come together for spiritual formation through worship, programming and ministry. Of course, all of the above comes with heavy emphasis on fun, food and fellowship. Lots of Fun, Food and Fellowship!
If you, or your family are looking for a place where you can get plugged in and become a part of a great youth program, come out and give our CUMC's Youth Fellowship a try.
Here's some of what we offer:
Sunday Morning Worship @ 8:30 and 11:00 (8:30 is Contemporary)
Sunday Night: Snack -N- Yak Begins @ 5:30
Wednesday Night: Begins @ 6:30 (A Meal is served for all ages at 5:15)
YOUTH NEWS:
Mark your calendars! Our summer trip will be June 29-July 3 as we take part in a week of mission opportunities, worship, Bible study, and free time at the beach. We will be staying at Coastal Carolina and participating with other youth groups at this Seesalt Summer Conference.
Thank you for your continued support of our flockings! If you know of a birthday, special occasion, or a friend who just needs cheering up, please let me know, and we will schedule a flocking. Remember, it's $20 to flock a yard with 72 birds! As of March 15, we have separated our Sunday school class into middle school and high school, with the high school youth meeting in the back classroom in the fellowship hall and the middle school youth meeting in the choir room. The fifth graders are welcome to attend Sunday school with the middle school youth, and the eighth graders are welcome to attend Sunday school with the high school youth. We are also looking to separate our Sunday night youth meetings beginning in June.
Due to the upcoming Easter holiday, we will not have UMYF on the following dates:
Sunday, April 5
Wednesday, April 8
Sunday, April 12
We will resume our normal schedule on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. Since our Wednesday night meal went over so well in March, our meal in April will be provided by College BBQ again. There will be hotdogs for anyone who does not eat BBQ.
I hope all the youth enjoy their Spring Break, and I wish everyone a happy Easter!
To be used by Him,
